Refund Policy

Built to Thrive© sells digital educational resources, including guides, templates, worksheets, trackers, workbooks, downloads, and related business education materials.
Because most of our products are digital and are delivered electronically, our refund policy is different from a physical goods return policy. This policy explains when refunds may be available, when they are not available, and how to contact us if there is a problem with your order.
1. Digital Products
Most Built to Thrive products are digital products.
Digital products may include:
- downloadable workbooks
- spreadsheets
- templates
- checklists
- guides
- worksheets
- digital toolkits
- educational PDFs
- video resources
- online course materials
- membership-based digital resources
Once a digital product has been purchased and accessed, downloaded, or delivered, it is generally non-refundable. This is because digital products cannot be returned in the same way as physical goods.
2. Free Downloads
Some Built to Thrive tools and resources may be offered for free. Free downloads are provided for educational use and do not qualify for refunds, credits, exchanges, or cash value.
3. When a Refund May Be Considered
We may consider a refund where:
- you were charged more than once for the same product
- you purchased the wrong product and contacted us before downloading or accessing it
- the file was defective and we were unable to provide a working replacement
- you did not receive access to the product because of a technical issue on our side
- there was a clear payment or order-processing error
Refund requests are reviewed case by case. Submitting a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.
4. When Refunds Are Not Available
Refunds are generally not available when:
- the digital product has already been downloaded or accessed
- you changed your mind after purchase
- you no longer need the product
- you bought the product by mistake but accessed or downloaded it
- you expected the product to include services, advice, customization, or support that were not stated on the product page
- you did not read the product description before purchasing
- the product does not apply to your specific business situation
- you purchased a template, tracker, workbook, or guide and later decided not to use it
Built to Thrive products are educational resources. They are not legal, tax, accounting, payroll, investment, or financial advice.
5. Product Compatibility
Some tools may be provided as Excel files, spreadsheet files, PDFs, or other downloadable formats. Before purchasing, please review the product description to confirm the file type and intended use. Refunds are not normally provided because:
- you do not have compatible software
- you are unfamiliar with spreadsheets
- your device cannot open the file
- your version of Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or another program does not support all features
- you expected the product to work in a format not listed on the product page
If there is a technical issue with the file itself, contact us and we will try to provide a corrected file or reasonable assistance.
6. Courses, Workshops, and Memberships
If Built to Thrive offers courses, workshops, or memberships, refund terms may vary by product. The refund or cancellation terms shown on the specific course, workshop, or membership page will apply. If no separate refund terms are listed, the general rule is:
- refunds are not available after access has been granted to digital course or membership content
- recurring memberships may be cancelled for future billing periods, but prior payments are not normally refunded
- missed workshops or live sessions are not normally refundable unless otherwise stated
7. Physical Products
If Built to Thrive offers physical products in the future, the refund and return terms for those products will be listed on the product page. Unless otherwise stated, physical products must be returned unused, in their original condition, and with proof of purchase before a refund is considered.
Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to our error.
8. Sale Items and Discounted Products
Sale items, discounted products, bundles, launch offers, and promotional purchases are generally final sale unless otherwise stated.
9. How to Request a Refund

- email address used for the purchase
- product purchased
- date of purchase
- reason for the refund request
- screenshots or error messages, if the issue is technical
We may ask for additional information before making a decision.
10. Refund Processing
If your refund is approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method where possible. Refund processing times depend on the payment processor, credit card company, and bank. It may take several business days for the refund to appear on your statement after it has been processed.
11. Late or Missing Refunds
If your refund has been approved but you have not received it:
- Check your bank or credit card account again.
- Contact your credit card company or payment provider.
- Contact your bank, as processing times can vary.
- If you have completed these steps and still have not received the refund, contact us at [insert support email].
12. Exchanges and Replacement Files
For digital products, we do not offer exchanges in the same way as physical goods. If a file is defective, corrupted, or inaccessible because of an issue with the file we provided, we may provide a replacement copy or corrected version.
13. No Professional Advice
Built to Thrive products are educational tools. They are designed to help business owners understand concepts, organize information, and build better habits. They do not replace advice from a qualified accountant, lawyer, bookkeeper, tax professional, financial advisor, or other professional.
No refund is provided because a product does not replace professional advice.
